The moments we get to spend with delicate flowers are often some of the most notable and recollected parts of our respective memories. Locked between their delicate demeanors and toughened roots, the components responsible for their trademarks can be found hiding in scant quantities, waiting for a fleeting moment of admiration. 

The Rose Ketones are a class of ketonic terpenoids that while rare, and often in preposterously small amounts, provide the trademark scents of some of the great queens of the floral world and can monumentally shape the things they occur in. They can be found in things like Raspberry ( Alpha-Ionone ) to Cannabis ( Alpha-Damascone ) and of course in Irises, and Roses. In "Queen" you will get to explore 7 of them ( mostly natural isolates, and 3 synthetics known for being excellent replacements - distinguished in the product info ), far more than most people will ever assess outside of wine science and top perfuming.

Included alongside them is root ( actually rhizomes ) extract known as Orris Butter ( in this case, made from the distillation of the Iris Padilla ) as well as a perfumers absolute of Violet Leaf, which shows us the green component of some of these floral odors. The kit's finale is a generous sample of one of the most beautiful rose oils we've ever sampled. This is not a fragrance oil, this is a true rose otto ( distillation ), and not a common one either. This Iranian rose otto is nothing like the common, though remarkable in their own right, Bulgarian and Turkish rose ottos. If you've never experienced one before, and maybe even if you have, you'll be blown away. The v1.1 release will include the surprise Bulgarian rosewater included in the first release, and maybe few more things as well.

Beautiful and complex, the scents in the "Queen" expansion are some of our absolute favorites. It took decades to bring natural versions of some of these isolates to market, and we're lucky to live in this era. The rose ketones give you a remarkable view of some of the most famous scents ever captured, as well as a chance to look at components of rose beyond compounds like Geraniol and Citronellol, and really start to break down some of these legendary florals. I highly suggest adding some of these ketones to your own mixtures to see how it shapes them. It's magnificent!
